Xiaotang (Tony) Du

Xiaotang (Tony) Du is a PhD student in the Department of Chemical Engineering with a minor in paper science and technology. He got his bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in China where he studied surface functionalization of polymer membrane. His doctoral research focused on particle behaviors at interfaces and its application in flotation for paper recycling advised by Dr. Behrens and Dr. Hsieh. He also interned with Enzymatic Deinking Technologies and Kimberly-Clark as an Engineering co-op. He is the vice president of Georgia Tech PhD to Consulting club and he was involved with multiple pro-bono consulting experiences with for-profit and non-profit organizations. He will graduate with a doctoral degree in Summer 2017.
